➤ Cimarron is officially open!
That's right, we are open for business! If you're a Spirit fan, I highly recommend this game, and that's not just because I'm trying to convince you to join my site, hehe! On a serious note, Cimarron is meant to make up for the lack of active, creative SSOTC RPGs available to fans nowadays. It combines the characters and plotlines from the movie into an entirely brand new story, enabling new and old characters to be a part of the legendary events soon to unfold. It provides a delightfully unique twist on typical wild horse RPGs, and combines human and fantasy genres as well, allowing your characters new freedoms beyond which you've seen on other RPGs. I could go on and on about how much opportunity is waiting for you here at Cimarron, but instead, I'll just encourage you to go and discover it all for yourself. Whether you've joined already or are simply considering, feel free to ask questions, pop in the chatbox, and get to know us a little better!

Whoa, what?! Every single character from the original movie is up for grabs?? That's right! Spirit, Rain, Little Creek, Esperanza, the Colonel, and more - they're all available to whoever is interested in RPing them! How does one go about doing this, however? It's easy; I'll simply be posting try-outs for each character as demand necessitates. But I won't go opening a try-out until someone is interested in the character! This means that if you are interested in a particular character - or characters, because you can try out for as many as you'd like! - simply reply to this thread and tell me which canon role(s) you'd like to try out for. Once you do that, I'll make the try-out thread so anyone can 'audition' for the part. Don't be afraid to create a character in the meantime, however, since deciding who will take what canon role may take some time!
➤ Official positions in the town of Clearwater available!
For those of you who want to have a human character that is a settler, perhaps you'd be interested in giving them a political opportunity. The town of Clearwater will be run by a mayor, a sheriff, and a deputy; the mayor will be more of a 'face of the town' than anything else, making decisions on social issues and settling simpler disputes, whereas the sheriff and his/her deputy will focus more on legal issues such as crimefighting. If you would be interested in these positions, simply reply to this thread saying so! I'll be getting try-outs up as soon as people are interested in it.
➤ Work towards those incentives!
Now that Cimarron is up, I want to especially encourage everyone to create characters and to start roleplaying around Cimarron. There are tons of incentives available to you guys for all sorts of things - and so to increase activity right from the starting blocks, I want to make sure everyone knows about them! I'm more than excited to hand out tons of arrowheads to you guys and your characters. C:
➤ Staff members needed!
Of course, as a new start-up Cimarron will need some people to help me manage the workload of running such a game. If you have experience moderating or staffing, please let me know! I am eager to get help and will get to know you on a personal basis before choosing people to help out on the staff team. People who I have known on deviantArt or other sites will, of course, have a higher chance of being chosen, simply because we have history together, but that doesn't mean I won't consider acquaintances I've just made! I just want to be sure I choose the most deserving individuals to help the staff of Cimarron.
➤ Help us decide a new Cimarron playlist!
For the time being, Cimarron's playlist consists of music from the original motion picture - a very fitting and appropriate playlist for the game, of course! However, in time I was thinking of having a new playlist with songs that Cimarron's members have hand-picked for the site - something personalized to the game itself! So if you can come up with some ideas for songs that somehow seem fitting to Cimarron, please suggest them! I'll compile a list here, which I will start off with pne of my own suggestions:
