BIOGRAPHY
Spirit's father left the herd years ago, though his reasons remain unknown. It was after Esperanza became pregnant with Spirit, of course, but whether or not the father knows this before he goes is up to you. His intentions could be pure - he left to defend the herd from some dangerous predator, perhaps, and was somehow prevented from returning - or maybe he's a total jerk and just abandoned the herd. Either way, he was never present in his son's life. It's up to you to decide what happened then, what he's up to now, how he will meet Spirit and enter into his life, and what their relationship will be like.
RULES
➤ You must be a member to try out.
➤ In order to be eligible, you must have another character accepted to Cimarron, and you must post with them at least 10 times in character by the time the try-outs close.
➤ Your try-out only has about a third (33%) of an effect on the ultimate decision. What this try-out is most dependent on is the player. Your activity, maturity, talent, and potential - or lack thereof - will likely be the ultimate factor in the decision on who to give the canon role to.
➤ We also want to make sure that whoever takes on the role will play their character to its full potential. As a result, we allow everyone trying out to have their own ideas and interpretation of the character, their persona, their aspirations and capabilities, and more. This means that some things about character can be changed.
➤ Some details about the canon being tried out for, however, are permanent, and we will not allow you to alter or manipulate them in any way.
➤ Staff will determine the result of all try-outs. If, however, a staff member is involved in the try-out, they will not be allowed to participate in the decision making process and a substitute will be found.
➤ The primary responsibility of the roleplayer is to simply maintain activity and character development with the canon character they've been awarded with. This means that if they fail to keep the character active, whoever wins a canon role try-out can have the character taken from them and given to another person.
➤ The staff of Cimarron reserve the right to take away any canon characters at their own discretion, if the player is deemed as using them irresponsibly in any way. We will try to be fair, but canon roles have higher standards for their players, so you are expected to live up to them.
➤ To be considered in the try-out, you must copy the form below and post it as a reply to this thread.
➤ Any field that has been bolded like this is a required and unchangeable field - meaning this aspect of the character cannot be altered.
➤ You can do whatever you want to the form - add formatting, put it in a nifty posting table, embellish it with pictures or even include additional fields or information. As long as all the fields we provided are there and have been answered satisfactorily, you have complete creative freedom.
➤ All incomplete, incoherent, or illegible submissions will be ignored. This includes excessive or difficult-to-read formatting and code.
➤ Try-outs are open and will continue to remain open for more submissions until December 27th.
➤ As of 12:00/00:00 midnight on the night of the 29th/morning of the 30th, the try-outs will be closed. Any submissions or posts made after this time will not be considered in the judgement process.
➤ The staff/members involved in making the final decision will convene and review all try-outs at this time. No personal opinions, biases, or perceptions will be used or permitted in coming to a decision.
➤ The final decision will be announced December 30th by midnight.
